Member's Meeting 2026 in Weimar, Sept 5 and 6, 2026

Dear members,

We informed you that the members’ meeting and Annual General Meeting were scheduled for the weekend of 5–6 September 2026.

Considering the recent development, we would like to postpone the Annual General Meeting, which covers the formalities of the Asil Club e.V., to 21 November 2026, most likely in Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. The formal invitation, containing all further details, will be sent to you in good time. The Board of the Asil Club, led by our Vice-Chair, Dr Astrid von Velsen-Zerweck, is taking on the challenge of continuing the life’s work of our founder, Dr W. Georg Olms, and leading the Asil Club into the future.

However, we would like to confirm the date in September for an Asil Club members’ meeting. You are warmly invited!

We will be meeting on Sunday, 6 September 2026, from 10.30 am

at the Al Shama Stud, run by Dr Christina Felton and Monika Felton

with a horse presentation, discussions and interesting short talks.

Address: Al Shama Arabians, An den Linden 19, 99444 Blankenhain (Niedersynderstedt), Germany, Tel. +49 (0)157 – 86916301.

There, we will be given an expert insight into the stud’s stock. The breeding programme is based, amongst others, on bloodlines from the renowned stud El Naarah, which belonged to our late board member Dr Helmut Freimüller. The horses will be presented under saddle and in hand.

In addition, we aim to foster a sense of community, exchange ideas, hear your suggestions, and further our knowledge. On-site catering and interesting discussions round off the programme.

For those who are arriving on Saturday, 5 September, an informal dinner in memory of Dr Olms is planned from 6.00 pm. If you are interested, please register as soon as possible. You are also welcome to send an informal email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., stating the number of people and whether you would like to attend on Saturday evening. Venue will be announced in time.

For the visit to the stud farm on Sunday, 6 September, we would also ask you to register as soon as possible, no later than 26 August 2026. (Please complete the registration form and send it to the office by email or fax).

We are looking forward to seeing you all.
