Shortly before his 96th birthday, Professor Dr Siegfried Paufler passed away unexpectedly. He was another cornerstone of Arabian horse breeding and a passionate breeder of Asil Arabian horses of Egyptian bloodlines.
His Asil mare Madinah (Ibn Galal - Mona II, Elite), bred by Dr Hans-Jörg Tauschke, continues to influence the breeding of Asil Arabians worldwide through her offspring. Her first son El Moniet (by Mohafez) was stallion performance test winner and Premium stallion. Mahdeen (by Messaoud, Elite), later Imperial Madheen, influenced Asil Arabian horse breeding from the USA, Argentina, Egypt and the Middle East to Australia. Professor Paufler was a highly respected member of our Asil Club for many years. About 20 years ago, he and his wife Ruth gave up their esteemed Madheen Arabian Stud near Göttingen. Nevertheless, Professor Paufler continued to support the breeding of Asil Arabians of Egyptian bloodlines and was involved in the Pyramid Society Europe and the German Arabian Horse Association (VZAP).

We remember him with deep respect. Our condolences go to his family, whom we wish strength for the difficult time ahead. May the beautiful memories be a source of comfort.
